21 जून 2015 को प्रथम अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस पर नई दिल्ली में राजपथ पर आयोजित मुख्य कार्यक्रम में दो विश्व रिकॉर्ड बने। राजधानी में पहली बार 35,985 लोगों ने एक साथ योग करके इतिहास रच दिया। इससे पहले यह रिकॉर्ड 19 नवम्बर 2005 को ग्वालियर में एक योग कार्यक्रम में बना था जब लगभग 30 हजार लोगों ने हिस्सा लिया था। वहीं दूसरा रिकॉर्ड तब बना जब एक साथ 84 देशों के लोगों ने इस योग सत्र में हिस्सा लिया। रिकॉर्ड बनाने के लिए कम से कम 50 देशों के लोगों को शामिल होना जरूरी था।
2. Serbia won the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2015 by defeating Brazil in the final match held at the North Harbour Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand. Nemanja Maksimovic scored a 118th minute goal to give Serbia a 2-1 victory over Brazil in extra time. It is Serbia’s first title since it became an independent nation in 2006. Mali came at third place in the FIFA U-20 Football World Cup 2015.
सर्बिया ने ब्राजील को 2-1 से पराजित कर फीफा अंडर-20 विश्व कप 2015 जीत लिया। फाइनल मैच न्यूजीलैंड के ऑकलैंड स्थित नार्थ हार्बर स्टेडियम में खेला गया। मैच के 118वें मिनट में नेमांजा मैकसिमोविक ने एक गोल करके अतिरिक्त समय में सर्बिया की जीत सुनिश्चित कर दी। वर्ष 2006 में एक स्वतंत्र राष्ट्र बनने के बाद से यह सर्बिया का पहला खिताब है। माली फीफा अंडर-20 फुटबाल विश्व कप 2015 में तीसरे स्थान पर रहा।
3. Legendary Swiss tennis player Roger Federer defeated in straight sets Italy’s Andreas Seppi to claim his record eighth ATP Gerry Weber Open Halle Tennis title in Berlin. Federer defeated Seppi by 7-6, 6-4 in the finals. This is his fourth title of the year after victories in Istanbul, Dubai and Brisbane.
दिग्गज स्विस टेनिस खिलाड़ी रोजर फेडरर ने बर्लिन में इटली के आंद्रियास सेपी को सीधे सेटों में हराकर आठवीं बार एटीपी गैरी वेबर ओपन हाले टेनिस टूर्नामेंट का खिताब जीता। फेडरर ने फाइनल में सेपी को 7-6, 6-4 से हराया। यह उनका इस साल का चौथा खिताब है। इससे पहले उन्होंने ब्रिस्बेन, दुबई और इस्ताम्बुल में खिताब जीते थे।
4. Bangladesh defeated Team India by 6 wickets on the Duckworth-Lewis method at Dhaka in the second ODI cricket match to register their first ever series win against India. With this win Bangladesh not only got an unassailable 2-0 lead, but also ensured a place in the 2017 Champions Trophy.
ढाका में बांग्लादेश ने दूसरे एकदिवसीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट मैच में भारत को डकवर्थ लुइस नियम के तहत 6 विकेट से हरा दिया है। इसके साथ ही बांग्लादेश ने पहली बार कोई श्रृंखला भारत से जीत ली है। इसके साथ ही बांग्लादेश ने तीन मैचों की सीरीज़ में 2-0 की अजेय बढ़त भी हासिल कर ली तथा 2017 चैंपियन्स ट्रॉफी में भी अपना स्थान पक्का कर लिया।
5. Benni Joseph Mavelil, a UK-based non-resident Indian philanthropist has been chosen for the V K Krishna Menon award in recognition of his outstanding professional and altruistic achievements, contributions and services to the community and wider multicultural society. Mavelil, President of the UK Knanaya Catholic Community, will receive the award at a function in London hosted by the VK Krishna Menon Institute later this year.

6. German football club Cologne’s striker Patrick Helmes has announced his retirement due to a persistent injury. After many setback and injuries Helmes retires from professional football after ten years. He will however stay with Cologne to assist Under-21 head coach Martin Heck.

7. Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport has the world’s fastest WiFi service. The result emerged after a survey was conducted by internet speed-test watchdog Rotten Wifi.com in over 130 airports all over the world. Suvarnabhumi’s WiFi speed topped all airports at 41.45 mbps, ahead of the airport in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where the speed was measured at 30.99 mbps. Dublin Airport ranked third with 19.45 mbps followed by Vilnius and Helsinki Airports at 18.04 and 17.46 mbps respectively.

8. Former Indian women hockey captain Shashi Bala and her son Agrim Thakur died in a road accident in Punjab. 45-year-old Bala made her international debut in 1987 and captained national hockey team during the 1997 FIH Women World Cup Qualifier held in Harare, Zimbabwe.
भारतीय महिला हॉकी टीम की पूर्व कप्तान शशि बाला का उनके पुत्र अग्रिम ठाकुर सहित पंजाब में एक सड़क हादसे में निधन हो गया। 45 वर्षीय बाला ने वर्ष 1987 में अपना अंतरराष्ट्रीय करियर आरंभ किया तथा उन्हें वर्ष 1997 में ज़िम्बाबवे के हरारे में खेले गए विश्व महिला हॉकी मुकाबले में कप्तान नियुक्त किया गया।
9. Seeking synergies between Swedish and Indian entrepreneurship, Indian mission in Sweden has launched ‘India Unlimited’ platform. According to India’s ambassador to Sweden Banashri Bose Harrison, the aim of the platform is promoting Brand India in Sweden and Brand Sweden in India. Infrastructure, defence, power, information technology, innovation, travel and tourism are the key business sectors that the platform focuses on. The platform was at the forefront during the recent visit of President Pranab Mukherjee to the country.

10. India-born former Google executive Nikesh Arora has been appointed the president and chief operating officer of Japan’s telecommunications giant SoftBank Corp. In a management reshuffle last month, Arora – investments head at the time – was named as a potential successor to company chairman and CEO Masayoshi Son, as the telecoms conglomerate steps up its overseas expansion.
भारत में जन्मे पूर्व गूगल कार्यकारी निकेश अरोड़ा को जापानी टेलिकम्युनिकेशन कंपनी सॉफ्टबैंक कॉर्प ने अपना अध्यक्ष (प्रेजिडेंट) और चीफ ऑपरेशन ऑफिसर नियुक्त किया है। पिछले महीने जब वह कंपनी के इन्वेस्टमेंट हेड के तौर पर कार्यरत थे, तब कंपनी ने विदेशों में अपने विस्तार को लेकर मैनेजमेंट लेवल पर फेरबदल किया। तब से निकेश का नाम कंपनी के चेयरमैन और सीईओ मासायोशी सन के संभावित उत्तराधिकारी के रूप में चल रहा था।

1. India created two world records at the main event of the first International Yoga Day celebrations at Rajpath in New Delhi on 21st June 2015. For the first time in the capital 35,985 participants performed asanas making it the largest yoga session. The earlier record was set on 19 November 2005 in a yoga programme organized in Gwalior when around 30,000 people participated in it. On the other hand another record was set when 84 nationalities participated in a single yoga event. To achieve this record, at least participants from 50 countries were required to perform.
