2010 – In the event of a non-violent attack by the Supreme Court of India, giving a pro-active definition of the right to self-defense, it is said that people who follow the law do not need to be cowardly. His two-member bench, while deciding the 10-point directive of self-defense, said that in these circumstances, no person will be made a criminal, even if he has done a life-threatening injury to the attacker.

1595 – फ्रांस के राजा हेनरी चतुर्थ ने स्पेन के खिलाफ युद्ध की घोषणा की।
1601 – मुग़ल बादशाह अकबर ने असीरगढ़ के अभेद किले में प्रवेश किया।
-फ्रांस ने स्पेन के साथ समझौता किया जिसके तहत फ्रांस को ब्रीस, बगेस वोल्रोमेय तथा गेक्स इलाका प्राप्त हुआ।
1757 – जर्मनी ने प्रूशिया के ख़िलाफ़ युद्ध की घोषणा की।
1852 – ब्रिटेन ने दक्षिण अफ्रीका के ट्रांसवाल की स्वतंत्रता को मान्यता दी।

2009- भारतीय ओलम्पिक संघ के महासचिव रणधीरसिंह ने अपने पद से इस्तीफ़ा दिया।
2010- भारत के उच्चतम न्यायालय ने ग़ैरक़ानूनी तरीक़े से हमला किए जाने की स्थिति में आत्मरक्षा के अधिकार की प्रो-ऐक्टिव परिभाषा देते हुए कहा है कि क़ानून का पालन करने वाले लोगों को कायर बनकर रहने की ज़रूरत नहीं है। उसकी दो सदस्यीय खंडपीठ ने आत्मरक्षा के अधिकार की 10 सूत्रीय निर्देश तय करते हुए कहा कि इन परिस्थितियों में किसी व्यक्ति को अपराधी नहीं बनाया जा सकेगा, भले ही उसने हमलावर को जानलेवा क्षति पहुँचायी हो।
