2007 – विश्व की सबसे वृद्ध महिला जूली विनफ़्रेड बर्टरंड का कनाडा में निधन।
2008 – जॉर्ज क्लूने को संयुक्त राष्ट्र के शांतिदूत बनाये गये।
-मुख्यमंत्री मायावती की अध्यक्षता में हुई कैबिनेट की बैठक में निजी विश्वविद्यालय खोलने के लिए दिशा-निर्देशों की मंजूरी प्रदान की गयी।
-पाकिस्तान के हिंसा प्रभावित उत्तरी वजीरिस्तान क्षेत्र के उग्रवादी नेताओं ने अपने समर्थकों से राजधानी इस्लामाबाद पर कब्ज़ा करने का आहवान किया। दक्षिणी कोलम्बिया स्थित एक ज्वालामुखी फटा।
2009 –
-‘द्वितीय प्रशासनिक सुधार आयोग’ ने अपनी सिफ़ारिशें सरकार को पेश कीं।
-सौरभ गांगुली को ‘बंगाल क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन’ ने सोने के बैट से सम्मानित किया।
