1924 – रैक्जे मैक्डोनाल्ड के नेतृत्व में पहली बार ब्रिटेन में लेबर पार्टी की सरकार बनी; ग्रीस (यूनान) की स्वतंत्रता; लेनिन का निधन।
-व्लादिमीर लेनिन की मृत्यु। इसके साथ ही स्तालिन ने अपने विरोधियों और नेतृत्व के मार्ग की बाधाओं को दूर करने का काम शुरु कर दिया।
-ब्रिटेन में पहली बार लेबर पार्टी की सरकार बनी, रैक्जे मैक्डोनाल्ड बने प्रधानमंत्री।
1958 – कॉपीराइट अधिनियम लागू किया गया।
1972 – मणिपुर मेघालय और त्रिपुरा राज्य का स्थापना दिवस।
1981- तेहरान में अमेरिकी दूतावास में बंधक बनाए गए सभी लोगों को छुड़ाया गया।

2003 – चालक रहित अमेरिकी टोही विमान पाकिस्तान में दुर्घटनाग्रस्त।
2007 – भारत ने वेस्टइंडीज से वनडे क्रिकेट शृंखला जीती।
2008 –
-भारत ने इस्त्रायल का एक जासूसी सैटेलाइट का प्रक्षेपण कर उसे सफलतापूर्वक पोलर आर्बिट में स्थापित किया।
-पाकिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति परवेज मुशर्रफ़ और पूर्व क्रिकेटर इमरान ख़ान का नाम वर्ष 2007 का ‘हाल आफ़ फ़ेम अवार्ड’ की लिस्ट में शामिल किया गया।
2009 – कर्नाटक के बीदर में वायुसेना का एक प्रशिक्षण विमान सूर्यकिरण दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हुआ।
