2004 – पाकिस्तानी परमाणु कार्यक्रम के जनक डाक्टर अब्दुल कादिर ख़ान प्रधानमंत्री के विशेष सलाहकार पद से बर्खास्त।
2005 –
-जनरल जोगिंदर सिंह नए सेना प्रमुख बने।
-बंग्लादेश ने जिम्बाव्वे से एक दिवसीय शृंखला 3-2 से जीती।
2007 – भारतीय स्टील कम्पनी टाटा, एंग्लो डच इस्पात कम्पनी कोरस के अधिग्रहण के बाद विश्व की पांचवी बड़ी कम्पनी बनी।
2008-
-उत्तर प्रदेश को पाँच वर्ष के भीतर बिजली के मामले में आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए राज्य की मुख्यमंत्रीमायावती ने 6168 करोड़ रुपये की विद्युत परियोजनाओं का लोकार्पण व शिलान्यास किया। केन्द्र सरकार ने ‘भारतीय स्टेट बैंक’ के राइट इश्यू के ज़रिये लगभग 10 हज़ार करोड़ रुपये जुटाने की मंज़ूरी दी।
-भारत-अमेरिकी असैन्य परमाणु करार के विवादास्पद हाइड-एक्ट क़ानून के जनक और पूर्व रिपब्लिकन सांसद हेनरी ने हाइड का निधन। पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री स्वर्गीय बेनजीर भुट्टो की पार्टी ने चुनाव के लिए अपनी पाकिस्तान पीपुल्स पार्टी का घोषणा पत्र जारी किया।
2010 – हॉलीवुड फिल्म ‘अवतार’ दो बिलियन डॉलर कमाकर दुनियाभर में सबसे ज्यादा कमायी करने वाली फिल्म बनी।
