– The armies of India and Vietnam began a six day-long military exercise ‘VINBAX’ in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. It is the first military exercise between the two countries.
– Ramsinh Parmar has been unanimously elected as the Chairman of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF).
– According to a report by World Steel Association (WSA), India has overtaken US to become the world’s third largest steel producer in 2017.
– According to the second edition of annual report ‘Airpocalypse’ released by Greenpeace India, Uttar Pradesh is India’s most polluted state with 15 of its cities among 30 cities with highest levels of toxic air in the country. New Delhi has topped the list of 280 cities.

– Former world number one badminton player Prakash Padukone has been conferred with Badminton Association of India’s (BAI) inaugural Lifetime Achievement award for his contribution to the sport.
– Two Indian-Americans, Arogyaswami Paulraj and Sumita Mitra have been inducted into the prestigious National Inventors Hall of Fame this year.
– Sanjay Rajoria has been appointed as the new Managing Director of TRF Ltd.
– Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic arm of global software major Infosys, has joined hands with Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi’s Children’s Foundation for a grant to create a child-friendly village towards improving children’s health, providing education and creating a non-violent environment.
– Maharashtra’s senior BJP MP, Chintaman Vanaga, passed away. He was 67.
– Dr Vinod Paul has been awarded the prestigious Ihsan Dogramacı Family Health Foundation Prize by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
– Himachal Pradesh Government has launched Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) project to promote organic farming. It was launched by Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur.
