1620 – हंगरी के प्रिंस बेथलेन और रोम के सम्राट फर्डीनेंड द्वितीय के बीच शांति समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किये गये।
1783 – इटली के कैलब्रिया में आये भीषण भूकंप में 50 हजार लोग मारे गये।
1797 – इक्वाडोर की राजधानी क्वीटो में आये विनाशकारी भूकंप में 41 हजार से अधिक लोग मारे गये।
1847 – मैरीलैंड में अमेरिका की पहली टेलीग्राफ कंपनी की स्थापना की गयी।
1881 – लोकमान्य तिलक के संपादन में दैनिक समाचार पत्र ‘केसरी’ का पहला अंक आया था।
1895 – अमेरिका के शिकागो में पहले रोलिंग लिफ्ट पुल का उद्घाटन हुआ।

2008-उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने पुलिस भर्ती घोटाले की जांच केन्द्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) से करने की घोषणा की।
2009- गाज़ियाबाद के भविष्य निधि घोटाले में सीबीआई ने अपनी दूसरी रिपोर्ट सर्वोच्च न्यायालय को सौंपी।
