2004 – बगदाद में पुलिस स्टेशन के बाहर हुए कार बम विस्फोट में 45 लोगों की मौत हो गई।
2005 – सुरक्षा परिषद की भारतीय दावेदारी के समर्थन में डेमोक्रेट सांसद फ़्रैंक पालोन ने अमेरिकी प्रतिनिधि सभा में विधेयक पेश किया।
2006 – नेपाल के नगर-निगम चुनाव में राजा समर्थकों ने जीत दर्ज की।
2008 – श्रीलंका के उत्तर में सैनिकों व लिट्टे के बीच हुए संघर्ष में 42 विद्रोही मारे गये।
2009 – सोमालिया तट पर भारत-रुस की नौसेनाओं का संयुक्त अभ्यास प्रारम्भ हुआ। प्रसिद्ध शास्त्रीय गायक पंडित भीमसेन जोशी को देश का सर्वोच्च नागरिक सम्मान भारतरत्नसे सम्मानित किया गया।
2013 – इलाहाबाद में कुंभ मेले के दौरान भगदड़ मचने से 36 लोगों की मौत हो गई जबकि 39 अन्य लोग घायल हो गए।
