1933 – काेलकाता अौर ढाका के बीच विमान सेवा की शुरूआत हुई।
1959 – अंटार्कटिका के शांतिपूर्ण वैज्ञानिक इस्तेमाल के लिए 12 राष्ट्रों ने संधि पर हस्ताक्षर किये।
