2005 – पाकिस्तान में भारी वर्षा के कारण बांध ढहा, 100 से अधिक मरे।
2007 – हिंडाल्को द्वारा अमेरिकी ऐल्यूमिनियम फ़र्म नॉवलिस का अधिग्रहण।
2008 –
-रुस के प्रधानमंत्री विक्टर जुबकोव दो दिवसीय यात्रा पर भारतपहुँचे।
-ईस्ट तिमोर के विद्रोही सैनिकों ने देश के राष्ट्रपति जोस रामोस को गोली मारकर जख्मी किया।
2009 – असमिया के प्रसिद्ध लेखक डॉ. लक्ष्मी नन्दन बोरा को सरस्वती सम्मान देने की घोषणा हुई।
2010 – भारत के परमाणु ऊर्जा आयोग के अध्यक्ष श्रीकुमार बनर्जी और ब्रिटिश उच्चायुक्त रिचर्ड स्टाग ने भारत-ब्रिटेन असैन्य परमाणु करार संबंधी संयुक्त घोषणा पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
-60वें बर्लिन अंतरराष्ट्रीय फिल्म उत्सव में हनी को मिला गोल्डन बीयर पुरस्कार।
2013 – रूस के कोमी क्षेत्र में विस्फोट में 18 मजदूर मारे गये।
